👋🏻Hi, my name is Jaden.🎓3rd Year student with a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace and Space Systems Design (May 2025)🌌BC Native relocated to Ottawa, Ontario, with a passion for formation flying and a design mindset geared towards satellite and aviation technology.🏳️‍🌈Previously, I was a member of two executive bodies in the Engiqueers Student Society. First Year Representative for Carleton's Engiqueers Chapter and later working as the Ontario Regional Director of Engiqueers Canada. In this role, I facilitated presentations & workshops to encourage upcoming engineers to value LGBTQ inclusivity in engineering. 💻Currently, I am a peer mentor for engineering students. I work to support 30 students per semester, developing their competencies in writing project proposals. All proposals go to the company Deep blue cleanup for review. 🚀As for my future, I hope to one day work for a company pushing the envelope in aerospace for the betterment of our global society. Ideally, I would like to participate in developing & designing new technology for the industry while working with a diverse team. ♟In my free time, you can find me rock climbing, kayaking, hiking or on the slopes⛷. STRENGTHS Mentoring — Advised engineering students to enable them to develop a technical project proposal for submission to Deep Blue Cleanup.Presentations — Delivered informative presentations and workshops on LGBTQ+ topics to provide an engineering audience with up-to-date knowledge.Teamwork — Collaborated with a group of peers on a bridge design to create a competitive design for the small bridge-building competition, ultimately placing second.Leadership — Delegated tasks as a head barista to a team of 4 to optimize performance.Technical Writing — Wrote a technical report to analyze a Kubota engine's thermal efficiency.Technical Drawing — Illustrated a series of drawings by hand to create a working blueprint for a guided rail launcher.KNOWN SOFTWAREFusion 360 — Developed and analyzed a model of a 5-bar linkage to determine the mechanism’s input torque to determine a suitable real-world motor for the device. CATIA — Created linked motion between a nut and a screw in CATIA so that each 360° rotation of the nut causes 0.2” linear travel of the lead screwMATLAB/Simulink — Designed a program to simulate and graph plots detailing the flight path of a satelliteHFSS — Built a simulation that illustrated the effects of biological tissue acting as an antenna at unsafe frequencies based on IEEE standards
