As a Student Social Worker at Ivinson Memorial Hospital, I provide case management services and behavioral health interventions to patients and families in various settings, such as the emergency department, the intensive care unit, and the medical-surgical unit. I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, physicians, therapists, and social workers to ensure the best possible outcomes for the patients. I am also pursuing my Master of Social Work degree at the University of Wyoming, where I focus on the clinical and community aspects of social work. I have completed an internship at SAFE Project, a nonprofit organization that supports survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, where I conducted intake assessments, assessed safety, collaborated with survivors in creating realistic and achievable goals, and aided in providing safe shelter. My goal is to become a licensed clinical social worker and help people cope with trauma, mental health issues, and life transitions.
