Hidden Inbound Freight Costs Project – Developed a report which determines the inbound freight cost of the company which in scope were not visible to management in standard reports. This included finding the variables in SAP transactions, and utilizing Microsoft excel to compute the analysis.Income Statement – Developed a data model to account for the income statement from a perspective which was not available in the standard reports of the company. This included, downloading mass amounts of raw data from SAP, using self-developed VBA macros to restructure the data into an accessible format, and making it presentable to management by displaying revenue, COGS, gross result, over and under absorptions, gross profit, structure costs, and EBIT.Cost Center Report – Developed a data model for analyzing and evaluating the business performance of the company’s cost centers. For example, in the engineering department, the cost center report shows where the team stands against its expected working hours as well as its budgeted costs. The report was designed in a way to make it presentable to each cost center manager. The process to develop the cost center report reflected the learnings from the previous tasks such as efficiently processing data using SAP Software, VBA macros, and Microsoft excel.Accounting Tool – Constructed a simulation model which demonstrated the relationship between the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows. This model will be used by the CFO to provide finance and accounting training.Presentation to management – Created a presentation of all accomplished tasks during the internship by complying with the company’s presentation format. The presentation of 40 slides was held in front of the entire management team and included sufficient time for Q&A.
