My passion for computer programming began with an introductory class I took in high school. Since then, I've been captivated by the power of code to create innovative solutions that improve the lives of thousands of people. Whether it's automating a tedious task, creating valuable tools, or providing convenient solutions to everyday problems, the possibilities are all (literally) at your fingertips.I take pride in developing projects that are not only functional but also visually appealing and user-friendly. A prime example is a calendar application I created to help users effortlessly manage their schedules. This application features a NoSQL backend for secure event storage and a React-based user interface. While building this project, I honed my skills in React, mastering features such as hooks, context, and CSS modules. Additionally, I implemented custom React hooks, utility files, and strategic project organization to ensure my code is both readable and maintainable.In addition to my technical expertise, I've honed a variety of soft skills that contribute to my success in the field. A key strength is my ability to collaborate effectively with fellow developers, often leveraging brainstorming sessions to tackle complex problems. I also possess a keen eye for user experience design, striving to ensure a seamless experience through features such as loading and error states. Finally, my aptitude for quickly learning new languages and technologies enables me to confidently take on new projects, continually expanding my skill set and staying current with industry developments.As a software engineer, I believe that continuous learning and improvement are essential for success in this field. To further my knowledge, I enrolled in a coding bootcamp and Harvard's CS50x Introduction to Computer Programming course. Currently, I am focusing on enhancing my expertise in React, Express, and PostgreSQL to elevate my existing projects and develop new ones. My ultimate goal is to create programs that positively impact people's lives by solving real-world problems.
