The company currently has over 60 million registered users and over 1 million paying subscribers.Prior to AllTrails, Jade was co-founder and CEO of hopOn, which reinvented travel booking as a social+mobile-first app for buying flights, hotels, activities, and sharing expenses. You could sit next to friends on flights, and pay your share of the hotel room in the same click. hopOn raised $1M from investors including New Enterprise Associates and sold to Kayak co-founder Paul English’s travel startup Lola. ‍Prior to hopOn, Jade was co-founder and CEO of TechForward, creators of the first Guaranteed Buyback® Plans for consumer electronics, which became the “get a new cell phone every year” plans like AT&T NextUp. TechForward raised $7.5M from New Enterprise Associates and First Round Capital, and was acquired by SquareTrade, now part of AllState.Jade's worked at Sony Corporation’s Partnerships and Standards Strategy group at global headquarters in Tokyo, and in product management on Macromedia’s Flash and at Beatnik, a software company whose audio engine is now the core of most mobile phone audio.Jade holds an M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he won the Parsky and Wolfen fellowships for entrepreneurship, and a B.A. cum laude from Williams College in Philosophy.
