About Jade Westerman

Thank you for stopping by my profile! My name is Jade, and I am a mother of three, a daughter and twin boys, a Psychology graduate with the Open University and working as a Maths Mentor [Tutor] with post-secondary young people. Over the last seven years, I have been completing a BSc (Honours) Psychology degree, whilst simultaneously raising three children, running a household, working and completing additional courses in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Safeguarding, British Values, Anti-Racism, Food Allergies and Intolerances, Makaton, British Sign Language and E-Safety. Developing an interest in mindset research and how unrecognized fixed mindset thinking affects mental health in adulthood, my desire is to address this at the root, merging together the fields of education and mental health to encourage the development of resilience, meta-cognitive and interpersonal skills within the next generation.
