I have served as the Executive Director of Illuminate Colorado since it’s inception, following 7 years as the Executive Director of founding partner agency, the Colorado Alliance for Drug Endangered Children. Illuminate Colorado is a united network of four established organizations partnering to build brighter childhoods through education, advocacy, and family support. Governed by a single Board of Directors, agency programs are fully integrated to leverage resources and increase overall capacity to implement powerful programs to keep kids safe. Provide overall leadership of organization in the development and implementation of short and long range plans, policies, and programs. Oversee the financial management of the organization, develop and implement the annual budget, ensure organizational sustainability by developing fundraising strategy to diversify funding sources, expand donor base, and secure grants and donationsResponsible for working with the Board of Directors, funders and staff in achieving the organization's mission, serve as the central contact person for the organizationMotivate, oversee, and evaluate staff, consultants, and contractorsResponsible for ensuring the organization meets its annual strategic and fiscal goals, manage the organizational strategic planning and growth processSupervise creation and dissemination of public communication and correspondence, including the website, newsletter, a variety of reports, brochures, posters, etc. Represent the organization on various community coalitions, committees, action teams, and task forces that relate to the work of the drug endangered children.Engage participation statewide by cultivating partnerships with communities and organizations across the state. Provide individualized support through training, technical assistance, advocacy, and collaboration opportunities.Support the development and implementation of all projects and programs of the organization, prioritizing effectiveness, efficiency, and innovation.

Coordinated Homeless Education Program for the St Vrain Valley School District in accordance with the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act of 2001Provided supportive services to schools District-wide on a regular, as well as crisis, basis to remove barriers to education for homeless studentsSupported students and families experiencing homelessness through home visits, attending school meetings, assisting with enrollment, providing resource information, advocating for individual student needs including transportation, winter coats, etc. Developed and maintained relationships with the Colorado Department of Education, community agencies, and local businesses to serve homeless children and families Coordinated after school, summer school, and school supply collection and distribution programs for homeless and at risk students throughout the DistrictProvided in-service training about the Homeless Education Program to various community and school groups to raise awareness and funds for use in the programDeveloped and maintained district database to track statistics Applied for various grants, budgeted funds, and managed all expenditures
