Providing nutrition assessment, education, and client-centered intervention strategies across caseloads including but not limited to; IBS, NALFD, eating disorders, weight management and sports nutrition.

This project aimed to assess and review the menus and pantries across four Meals on Wheels (MOW) sites to develop food fortification strategies to best support MOW clients in the community. Through this placement, I was able to develop skills in:• Conducting menu reviews and analysis using relevant tools • Development and use of cost analysis tools to determine the financial feasibility of fortification strategies• Nutrition analysis of menu items using Foodworks• Recipe development to support the proposed fortification strategies• Liasing with MOW kitchen staff and volunteers• Presenting findings and proposed strategies to key stakeholders including MOW dietitians, kitchen staff and volunteers, as well as university staff and peers

For my first acute-care placement, my caseload included acute surgical, orthopaedics, hepatobiliary, and geriatric and rehabilitation. Through this placement, I was able to develop skills in:• Performing nutrition assessments, interventions and management for various conditions• Composing comprehensive chart entries• Navigating iEMR, Patient Flow Manager and CBORD• Working alongside a multi-disciplinary team to deliver patient-centered outcomes• Prescribing appropriate oral nutrition supplements• Providing nutrition education to patients• Adjusting enteral feeding regimens for patients requiring enteral nutrition• Participating in professional development and peer review

In collaboration with Deakin University, this project involved applying a pilot tool to assess the healthiness and sustainability of UQ's food environment (St Lucia Campus). My involvement in the project specifically included conducting the desk policy audit, and campus audit across the campus environment and food retailers. Evidence collected was scored against criteria to identify areas of progress, and opportunities for future action.
