Handled delicate human tissue, DNA extraction, cell lysis, buffer preparation, PCR, gel electrophoresis, use of hazardous chemicals for ethidium bromide staining, preparation of samples for sequencing at Cogenics (Essex, UK), genotyping. Use of laboratory tools such as the microcentrifuge, pipettes, UV box and autoclaves.
