Contribute to the expansion of the Y-USA Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion department’s efforts through the advancement of the Equitable Communities Agenda (ECA), guiding the integration of anti-racist, multicultural strategies with local YMCA community engagement efforts, and impact measurement. Work closely with local YMCAs and other Y-USA departments to advance local anti-racist efforts through learning cohorts, capacity building, technical support, and sustained communication. This includes: (1) strategy development to advance the ECA with local YMCAs; (2) identification, co-creation and delivery of systems change efforts; interviews and data collection; (3) and a three-year focus on the development and distributions of findings related to addressing institutional racism within the YMCA movement.Provide expanded support to local YMCAs selected to participate in cohorts. These cohorts and their projects will cut across foundational frameworks, anti-racism, multi-cultural leadership development, and global engagement efforts – to identify opportunities to improve community engagement approaches withinYMCA operations. Lead systems change efforts in partnership with local and national organizations based on the expressed needs of cohort members. Establish relations with Y-USA teams, including but not limited to: Research, Analytics & Insights, Movement Services, and Financial Development.Serve as a critical leader for grant management with funders and donors that fund core collaboration and innovation.

Appointed to the Y's newly-created Community Outreach and Impact office (COI) with responsibity for multiple community-driven programs engaging youth and families including Hope For All, Y Achievers, Y on the Fly, and food pantry services. Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, COI expanded its food pantry operation to include home delivery for residents who were shut-in; partnered with 412 Food Rescue and Fogo de Châo Brazilian Steakhouse to deliver boxes of produce and freshly-made meals to over 300 residents across Allegheny County; developed protocol to continue providing free income tax filing for local residents, resulting in a total 502 returns prepared and submitted to the IRS; and launched a 100% virtual experience for Y Achievers' summer cohort.

I manage a multi-site social service program, Hope For All, in partnership with YWCA Greater Pittsburgh. Funded by United Way of Allegheny County, Hope For All was developed to connect financially-distressed individuals and households with appropriate resources. As program director, I am responsible for a team of seven employees, including graduate social work interns and Public Allies, across three YMCA locations who execute day-to-day operations and special projects. Additionally, I maintain oversight of a $280,000 annual budget.Key Contributions: •Spearheaded the free tax-preparation service from January to April 2015, resulting in 430 client returns prepared; over $800,000 in refunds generated; and 10 new community volunteers successfully recruited, trained, and IRS-certified. •Increased outputs by 50% and kept program in compliance with agency and funder requirements. •Secured a three-year commitment of $280,000 in September 2015 to maintain program operations at existing levels.

Assigned to a six-month campaign to mobilize Medicaid-eligible individuals to advocate for expanded coverage in the Commonwealth. • Worked with a team of canvassers and organizers to educate approximately 7,000 community members in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County, via targeted door-to-door conversations and special events, around the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid Expansion • Tracked conversations utilizing a database system on campaign-provided iPod Touch and iPhone devices • Conducted surveys, sampling, and recruitment calls with community members, organizations and SEIU local members

• Collaborated with residents and other community partners to develop and advocate for neighborhood-wide beautification and safety strategies • Provided assistance to residents to support new and existing block watch activities • Case-managed families enrolled in public benefit programs through “Bridge to Benefits” and performed follow-up and referrals as needed • Fundraised $85,000 in grants to support the Junior Green Corps youth program; obtained $20,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for miscellaneous activities • Supervised community organizing staff, University of Pittsburgh graduate interns and AmeriCorps KEYS members
