The Mechanical Engineering Student Center (CEIMEC) is the representative body of all the students who belong to the Mechanical Engineering program at the Universidad Simón Bolívar (USB). It is responsible for the interests of the students and works to achieve them. Together with the entire CEIMEC team, we organized and participated in the event "Infocarrera 2019", event held in the spaces of the USB on November 15, 2019, obtaining the third place in the only category "Best Stand". "Infocarrera" is an annual event organized by the different student centers of each career, which consists in the exhibition of the diversity of careers offered by that house of studies to its aspiring students.

The Academic Secretary's Office is responsible for providing support to the Directorate of Study Control in the enrollment and enrollment correction processes, as well as looking after the academic and administrative interests of the students.From the Academic Secretary's Office, the following projects were carried out:Virtual Library: Together with my work team, we were responsible for the generation, virtualization and organization of academic material for the enjoyment of all our fellow students, through the creation of a virtual library in Google Drive. At the same time, we incorporated the academic programs of mandatory and elective courses, both current and expired.Practical classes: We organized and advertised different practical exercise classes for the students of the career, according to the courses open in each academic period. In addition, a pilot project was started for the virtual tutorial classes as a solution to periods of difficulty in accessing the university campus.Tutoring Campaign: In the tutoring project, we realized that there was not enough relief to cover the tutoring students who were close to graduation. Through Instagram, we made a series of publications motivating the student body to become the wonderful work of being a preparador.Welcome to the Career: We organized the welcome to those students who successfully passed their basic cycle and started their journey through the different courses of the career. In this event they are given an introductory talk by professors from the Mechanics department and advice from the more experienced students, in order to show the wide field of the career and the particular experiences of each of the speakers.Lectures: Talks were organized from different areas of mechanical engineering, as well as MOOCs.Cleaning and Restoration of the CEIMEC Reading Room.
