My work mainly focuses on Ontario's provincial policy for flooding.A) Work on the federal funding program - Flood Hazard Identification and Mapping Program (FHIMP): 1) Assessed 72 applications submitted for funding under the Flood Hazard Identification and Mapping Program (FHIMP). Projects were submitted by municipalities, conservation authorities and indigenous communities in Ontario. 2) Led Transfer Payment Agreements (TPA's) for 54 floodplain mapping projects totaling $ 6.7 Million with 34 local Ontario organizations including municipalities, conservation authorities, and indigenous communities. 3) Facilitated negotiation between the program funder - Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) – and FHIMP applicantsB) Work on provincial technical guidelines and policies: 1) Supported projects on flood mapping prioritization in Ontario 2) Conducted research on updating provincial technical guidelines on the use of structural measures in floodplain mapping. 3) Conducted research on artificially engineered landforms, termed Flood Protection Landfroms (FPL's), designed for eliminating flood hazards. 4) Supported research

Project: Water Mega Reservoirs - Package A (WMR - A)Acquired knowledge of the contracting field with an overview of the different departments involved, such as cost control, planning, procurement, and quality control, while analyzing the interrelationships between them:- Shadowed site engineers in on-site decision making and communication with the construction team, quality control team and consultants.- Assisted the engineering department in organizing the bar-bending schedule of remote substation 3.- Assisted in the quantity surveying of excavation work, blockworks, plastering, and other activities performed by subcontractors.- Developed communication skills from people with different nationalities present in such a Mega project (WMR-A) that is aimed to stor 388 Million Imperial Gallons (MIG) of water, 360,000 m3 of concrete for reservoirs, and 145,000 tons of rebar.
