Passionate about the intersection of Policy making and public health, I am a graduate at Johnson and Wales University with a degree in public health. My academic journey has equipped me with a strong foundation in research methods, epidemiology, public health, and health determinants, providing me with the necessary tools to delve into complex health issues.Driven by a curiosity to explore both emerging and established challenges in public health, I am eager to embark on a career in research. My internship experience at Lifespan, where I contributed as a researcher focusing on HIPAA standards, has further solidified my passion for conducting meaningful research in the healthcare sector. I Have also interned at the Rhode Island General Assembly, researching bills involving the health and human services committee, the environment and natural resources committee, and the labor committee. My experience at the General Assembly contributed to expanding my knowledge and skills on public health in a legislative aspect. Policy advocacy and research has shown me ways I can make meaningful change to communities. As an active member of the Health Equity Club at Johnson and Wales, I am deeply committed to addressing health disparities and advocating for equitable healthcare access. Through our initiatives, I have gained invaluable insights into the diverse health needs of different communities and the importance of promoting health equity.Now, as I prepare to transition into the professional realm, I am excited to leverage my academic knowledge and practical experiences in new settings.
