BGLIG is an institution that promotes dual language learning as a base for education. As a paraprofessional within the school I act as a second teacher to 5th grade students, aiding them with common core math essentials, reading and writing skills, and knowledge in all other subject areas. I have also been responsible for taking on the role of head teacher at times, stabilizing the environment in which these students learn if the teacher is ever out. I also aid in the development of important life skills pertinent for both future growth and the overall positive and ever expansive atmosphere of this budding school.

During my time at NYU, I became involved with a particular lab studying the effects of "Transference." As a research assistant for the fall semester of 2014, it was my responsibility to yoke participants that had participated in past interviews/surveys. That is, and plainly speaking, I would take participant data, such as surveys they filled out, and convert the information into usable and testable data with MediaLab. This involved excel processing and careful coding technique. Once done, this data was paired with that of a similar participant -essentially reversing certain aspects so that the date was unrecognizable, but contingent on the other person's involvement; the participant data was yoked.
