It’s okay to reach out for help.As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker I believe in the power of connection and I am committed to assisting people to live rich and fulfilling lives. I believe we all have capabilities, resources, resilience and expertise in our lives, but also recognise that sometimes things can feel too hard, too overwhelming and just too much. It is during these times that I am here to help you reconnect with yourself. I am person-centred and collaborative, and I strive to ensure you feel seen and heard – every story is important and your emotions and experiences are valid! I will also work with you to find out what works best for you and your own unique circumstance. As a result, I adopt a broad range of therapeutic approaches.I enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds, including individuals, couples, families and communities. As an immigrant who has lived most of her life in Australia, I am also passionate about assisting those who are struggling with their cultural belonging and identity to find their place in their world and within themselves. I am also passionate about creating a safe space for healthcare professionals to engage in their own growth and healing, through authentic connection and reflective practice. I believe there is still so much pressure for healthcare professionals to be “perfect”, “know all the answers”, and “have it all together” and this creates undue pressure to perform rather than value oneself, set boundaries and engage self-care practices. I also recognise that this pressure and expectation also exists from top-down within organisations and as such I am committed to also working with managers and organisations to create safe work environments supportive of staff mental wellbeing.It would be an honour walking this journey with you.
