I'm involved as software developer with Linux and Open Source software since 1994 and joined 1999 SUSE Linux.At SUSE Linux I lead the development effort to port Linux to the new 64-bit x86-64 architecture and also ported the GNU C Library to x86-64. As a project manager I was responsible for the openSUSE distributions. Then I headed a development department with technical responsibilities for openSUSE and the core of the enterprise products. As Program Manager openSUSE I had a bridging role between company and community (openSUSE) and was involved in many parts of the project - including driving technology forward, marketing activities of the project and project managing activities like the openSUSE Conference 2011 or several openSUSE distribution releases.I'm now Senior Product Manager - SUSE Linux Enterprise for SAP solution, thus working on SUSE's SAP offerings.I managed complex projects with development teams in several locations - with different timezones, languages, and cultures - and with both internal and external stakeholders.
