I've worn several hats over the past 18 years working in different law firms, and with each outgrown hat I've hung up, I've continued to carry the lessons and memories of them all and utilize those tools daily. As a Bankruptcy Paralegal at Gillespie & Murphy, I am responsible for preparing bankruptcy petitions (Ch. 7, 13, & 11), calculating Chapter 13 Plan and filing of the same; preparation of legal pleadings (Objections, Motions, Responses, etc.) and filing of the same; ECF daily downloads; inputting billable time; meeting with clients to review and sign one's petition for filing; hearing prep; in addition to typical office duties that are required in a day-to-day high functioning business. I am proficient in Microsoft Office, type over 80 wpm with 100% accuracy, and have a keen retention ability when learning new things. In addition to bankruptcy, I have been fortunate to work at two previous firms specializing in business law, personal injury, real estate, and wills/trusts. I have gained valuable knowledge and work ethic that I carry with me and apply to daily life.I graduated with a 4.0 GPA from Miller Motte College with my AAS in Legal Studies and was recognized on the school's President's List every semester. I have a thirst for knowledge and enjoy learning at every turn.
