Jae is a director of Trolls and Tribulations an e-commerce company manufacturing and distributing ScratchSleeves. These are an effective design of scratch mitts for babies and toddlers developed by Jae and her husband to combat their son’s scratching. Feedback consistently demonstrates that the ScratchSleeves are making a real difference in combating even severe cases of eczema. Since its launch in early 2009, sales have grown rapidly in the UK and overseas on both a retail and wholesale basis.Jae is involved in all stages of this rapidly growing business from sourcing raw materials and manufacture, to branding, marketing and order fulfillment. Recruited into Winterthur by the CFO to bring the Financial Reporting process under control and deliver the process improvements required to meet SOx requirements alongside being responsible for the production of the quarterly US GAAP and FSA reporting. Her involvement with the key stakeholders has continued throughout her employment with involvement in key strategic projects.Jae’s contribution has been recognised at the highest level within Wintherthur Life UK. She was awarded the prize for best new employee in 2004 and was one of only two UK staff to take the first Young Executive Talent programme run by the Winterthur group, which she successfully completed in October 2006.Key achievements:• Managing the successful implementation of ‘thin’ UK GAAP ledger including development of the chart of accounts, data clean and opening balance migration.• Managing the successful implementation of US GAAP based ledger including development of the chart of accounts, mapping to the group integration tool, opening balance migration and development of the UK-US GAAP reconciliation process. This implementation facilitated process improvements including the elimination of manual adjustments and the development of reporting and analysis functionality. These process improvements have taken 40% off the time taken to produce the US GAAP figures. • Development and implementation management of a robust and flexible IFRS reporting process to both support the production of Purchase GAAP reporting and to meet future reporting requirements. • Development of reporting functionality to make use of the existing data warehouse and reduce reliance on spreadsheet based reports. This is reduced the FSA reporting process by 2 days alongside enhancing the review process. • SOx documentation produced and necessary process enhancements implemented, including formalised sign-off processed and spreadsheet controls. SOx audits passed consistently.

Recruited into KPMG to strengthen delivery capability within the consultancy operations of the Financial Services sector. Selected for experience in the insurance sector and business processes. Strong feedback received from both colleagues and clients resulted in consistently high utilization and promotion.As an executive consultant responsibilities include management of project teams including both AKC and client staff, liaison with client sponsors at all levels, involvement in bid presentations and proposition development within the Practice.Key Projects included:• Implementation of automated reconciliation software (Sep 2003 – Feb 2004): Working on the implementation of reconciliation software solution within a major UK bank. Managing project delivery from the combined software supplier and client team. This project automated the reconciliation of 2,000 accounts.• Web-based Services for Independent Financial Advisors - Wrap (Oct 2002 - May 2003): Working for a major UK insurance company, managed the development of business processes to support web based services to Independent Financial Advisers, including the provision of business expertise to the system selection and prototyping workstreams.• Finance business architecture (Apr - Sep 2002): Project Office for substantial systems architecture change programme within major UK insurance company. Co-ordinating the project team of 8 AKC and 28 client staff. Also responsible for preparation and facilitation of planning workshops and organising training for client staff.• HiPortfolio implementation (Sep 2001 – Mar 2002): Responsible for generating and loading clean fund account data for over 60 funds into the new HiPortfolio database and providing hand-on support through the initial year-end reporting process.• Board reporting review and recommendations (Jul – Aug 2001): Development of Critical Success Factors and Key Performance Indicators for the annuities subsidiary of a major UK life company.

Specific projects included; streamlining control systems within payroll department; development of useful and usable management and budgetary information reports in a variety of entities; Audits/group audits for Lloyd’s syndicates and brokers, EU Research grants, major consumer products importer; Various internal audit assignments; business tax analysis.
