Innovation Manager
London, England, United Kingdom
Innovation Manager, HCRG Care Group (NHS), December 2021 to February 2022Managed an innovation portfolio and pipeline against corporate objectives. I coordinated exceptional and compliant transformations and secured significant national funding for critical projects.• I facilitated the end-to-end redesign of wound care in Lancashire, which improved clinical care, released clinical and administrational capacity, and enabled preventative approaches and continuous improvement. At the same time, the scalable model currently being rolled out across the country, reduces £100,000’s per year for the vanguard service in wastage of consumables such as bandages and dressings. • Led on the development of a ‘Digital Inclusion’ strategy to ensure services catered to the needs and abilities of service users with barriers to using technology. • Coordinated the certification and piloting of a breastfeeding mobile application, for use within the NHS. "anya" now provides breastfeeding support to thousands of families across the country, meeting need and improving service accessibility and efficiency.• Led on the design and delivery the "Feel the Difference” Fund, an annual open-innovation incubator that enables staff and service users to propose and implement their own service improvements. I also coached new applicants and provided auxiliary support to ensure project success.• Drove the design, planning and trial of point-of-care testing solutions within prison services. Despite setbacks before my appointment, I rallied internal and external teams, negotiated significant cost reductions and re-established project parameters, to deliver on time and within budget.• Acted as an organisational representative within the #ActNowHomeFirst Collaborative, improving discharge pathways from community hospitals. Work was featured on BBC News Southwest, whose content was the basis of our Discharge to Assess models during COVID-19.
