The UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL), in collaboration with the UNESCO learning city of Yeonsu, Republic of Korea, will organize the fifth International Conference on Learning Cities (ICLC 5) from 27 to 30 October 2021. I have been working as an intern at Onhappy NGO since May 2021. As a project manager of the 5th UNESCO International Conference on Learning Cities (ICLC) in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, I perform overall things for the successful hosting of the conference.Basically, for the smooth progress of ICLC, college student volunteers, including George Mason University, were selected through direct promotion, recruitment, and interviews, and we are managed them. In addition, we meet with Yeonsu-gu Office, UIL, and other companies on matters to be coordinated for the event to proceed.During the event, I manage volunteers as a whole, communicate with middle managers and the business team, and help the event proceed successfully.In addition, I was in charge of producing and educating volunteers and interpreting VIPs (mayors, speakers, etc.) from each country who came to participate in ICLC.
