I am a banking leader with more than 25 years of international experience across various banking businesses at top-tier firms. Expert in the needs of financial institutions and corporates, cross-border financing, transaction banking, correspondent banking and global relationship management, I build and grow profitable operations with a client-centric approach to business strategy. I also mitigate risk and ensure close regulatory engagement in complex, multi-jurisdictional operations. As Regional President and Head of CIB for Wells Fargo APAC, I drove business transformation that grew revenues and market share, delivered improved profitability and established market prominence in many of our core products. I also diversified geopolitical risk and enhanced efficiency through a rationalisation of our regional network and the creation of dual hubs in Hong Kong and Singapore.A champion of diversity and inclusion, I have worked hard to deliver meaningful improvements, raising the proportion of women in senior leadership positions from 33% to almost 50% and achieving best-in-class employee engagement scores across a diverse workforce based in ten countries. As a player coach, I continue to engage with the C suite leadership of leading corporates and financial institutions, with whom I have built strategic, global partnerships servicing their needs across a range of banking products and services. I spent my formative years in Egypt and Dubai, and have held leadership roles in Bahrain and Dubai for HSBC, so I have a strong understanding of the culture and economic landscape of the Middle East as well as the UK and Asia where I have lived and worked with both HSBC and Wells Fargo. I have worked throughout the economic cycle, providing funding to diverse clients, with an excellent track record of generating strong risk returns that includes navigating major credit restructurings following the global financial crisis in 2008.
