Assisted with management and public disposition of tax-foreclosed residential and commercial buildings and vacant land. Drafted agency policy for rental unit and home ownership affordability restrictions on residential housing sales. Provided legal advice and assistance, including research, drafting and review of requests for proposals, license agreements, commercial and drug evictions, sanitary and building code violations, subdivision plans, easements, access, inspections, environmental issues, and property auctions. Wrote implemented and trained division staff on policies and procedures for effective management of portfolio of 100+ city-owned buildings. Drafted agency-wide “Community Participation in City Property Disposition” policy. Created and performed oversight of 150+ vendor contracts for repair and environmental services. Coordinated and managed interagency Abandoned Housing Initiative, including oversight of comprehensive citywide survey of abandoned properties and associated database.
