My journey in the field of finance and accounting has been shaped by a commitment to excellence and a passion for continuous learning.My professional journey began at EY Global (S. F. Ahmed & Co. Chartered Accountants in Bangladesh, now an independent member firm of HLB International) in 2014. During my tenure, I handled diverse assignments in Audit and Assurance, Advisory, and Taxation services for both national and multinational clients. Notable clients included Heidelberg Cement Limited and Wal-Mart Global Sources Services Limited. I provided advisory services to companies like CISCO Technology Bangladesh Limited and Siemens Bangladesh Limited, focusing on accounting, valuation, and risk management. This experience honed my skills in delivering high-quality financial services and strategic advice.After earning my MBA with distinction from the University of Nottingham, I returned to Bangladesh in late 2021. My academic journey at Nottingham equipped me with advanced knowledge and skills in business management, which I have applied to drive organizational success.Upon my return, I took on the role of leading the finance function at Cross-World Group, a renowned Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) group. As a Lead, I oversee financial performance, formulate strategies, implement controls, and develop financial plans to support organizational goals. My role involves ensuring positive revenue growth, maintaining financial health, and achieving strategic objectives.Currently, I am a partner at UHY Syful Shamsul Alam & Co., Chartered Accountants and Management Consultants. Together with my partners, we provide audit, advisory, and taxation services to leading national and multinational organizations.
