In my decade-long career at Veracross, I have helped us grow from a small company with a small team to the industry's leading School Information System serving schools around the world. Having done significant core database work, I am an expert in Transact-SQL and SQL Server management. I have built, managed, and maintained dozens Ruby on Rails applications (2.x, 3.x, 4.x, and 5.x), giving me expertise in Ruby and the Ruby on Rails ecosystem. Some of those applications have been traditional server-rendered applications, others have been rich client-side Javascript applications. Finally, I have architected and managed cloud and dedicated environments and am well versed in modern cloud management platforms. With these skills, I fully understand the whole stack and what it takes to write, deploy, maintain, secure, and scale web applications.
