Consolidated product and system requirements for a new 3D printer program. Developed detailed test plans and drove the testing, interfacing with systems, hardware (ME/EE) and print development teams. Working as a Research Fellow as part of the £ 5M project funded by European Regional Development Fund and Advantage West Midlands. Major activities involve • Working with various partner companies from automotive, defense and medical sectors to understand their requirements in product and process development and provide them X-ray CT based innovative non-destructive testing and analysis solutions.• Perform CT scan data analysis for different applications using VGStudioMax and develop new image processing methods in MATLAB to perform specific analysis tasks required for the application. Developed novel methods to analyze bullet geometry, water injection molding and to extract low intensity defects from castings.• Carried out a MATLAB based simulation analysis to understand the effect of CT cone beam geometry and object configuration on the measurement accuracy of the scanner.

• Lead System Engineer for the development of a new review module attached to an inspection system, liaising with external vendors, software, applications, manufacturing and system engineering teams spread in India, USA and Singapore. • Performed system calibration and subsystem characterization of optics, motion control systems, wafer delivery robots and illuminators by developing a number of utilities to process the system output. Defined system performance specifications and developed methods and processes to achieve the specifications. Developed many requirements documents for software features, procedures and calibration methods.• Successfully solved many field escalations by logically analyzing the problem at hand and identifying the cause of the problem. Also, supported the manufacturing team located in Singapore by providing them the technical know-how, tools, utilities and training.• Discovered novel ways of overcoming high topography imaging problems, dead zone, Z-focus control problem and stage inaccuracy using multiple simulations and experimentation. • Developed an analysis method in MATLAB to analyze the focus non-uniformity in the image field of view and proposed a method to correct it.• Developed and demonstrated alternative and reliable algorithm for Image Based Focus Finding method.• Developed a C++ utility for live image grabbing and implemented a generic algorithm for computing live LED offsets for an alignment fixture.• Developed an utility in C# using device specific API methods for reading and writing LED specific data to Maxim DS2431 EEPROM device.• Developed Galil board test fixture software in C# to communicate with Galil controller board.
