Research Scientist
CurrentPerforming materials degradation research in the capacity of corrosion and electrochemical scientist. The projects broadly include:• Mechanistic studies on stress corrosion cracking of Ni-Cr-Fe alloys.• Localized corrosion of steam generator tubing in terms of corrosion testing, electrochemical analysis, and surface analysis. • Conceptualization of methodology to investigate mass transfer limited reactions on heat transfer surfaces to understand materials degradation under two-phase flow or boiling conditions (e.g., steam generator tubing in nuclear power plants). Other duties include project management comprising schedule and budget, research team management, preparing technical reports for commercial and internal R&D.
