I describe my self a Physiotherapist determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself. I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our circumstance but by our disposition. I am Physiotherapist with a Master degree in Neurology & 11 years of clinical experience. In my previous roles as Physiotherapist at DEIC, RBSK, National Health Mission Sirsa under District Health and family welfare Society ( 04-03-2014 to 18-12-2023) having the job role and responsibilities to assess the child with motor delay/disabilities and identify the needs of the child, Formulate treatment goals on the basis of needs of the child, Provide services for sensory integration, counsel the parents on home therapy for the child with focus on Activities of Daily Living (ADL), Explain the parents and/ or caregivers the importance of physical management and demonstrate therapy to them so that they can carry out therapy at home in all the daily living activities, maintain records of the follow-up of the child, note progress and doing reassessments, wherever deemed necessary and at periodic intervals. To prepare the reports of the progress of the child and achievement of goals must be conveyed to the parents, Liaison with all the professionals involved in the intervention of the child to enhance the overall development of the child, Prescribe proper furniture depending on the special needs of the child in daily living activities aids and appliances such as orthoses e.g., Ankle- foot- orthosis (AFOs), gaiters etc., Guide and counsel the parents on therapies and use of aids and appliances that are prescribed to the child, follow up & evaluate Sicknew-borns, including those within the SNCU, In case of referrals prepare detailed referral notes. To perform Musculoskeletal assessment & physiotherapy treatment of the patients in daily OPD of government hospital Sirsa, Every Wednesday as a physiotherapist in the disability assessment camp assesses disabled and physically impaired patients by using various techniques like manual muscle testing, range of motion assessment, limb length measurement, and muscle girth assessment. To carry out Pre and post operative physiotherapy treatment of patient admitted in indoor ward. Physiotherapy treatment & counseling of geriatric patients with non-communicable diseases and others suffering from musculoskeletal disorders and injuries. I established a comprehensive club foot management program treating new-born’s and children with club foot deformities using the Ponseti method every Tuesday.
