• Lead and manage JagKumar, an IT and security company specializing in electronic security services that builds flexible, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure. JagKumar is at the cutting edge of key technologies – virtualization, cloud computing, mobility and cybersecurity – and we transform our clients’ IT environments to leverage these next-generation technologies across their datacenters, networks, and production and end-user environments.• Assess each client’s unique requirements and recommend customized, optimized IT and security systems that best fit clients’ needs.• Oversee teams that provide ongoing technical support, upgrades, and maintenance for companies’ critical systems.• Hire, train, and manage all tech and support staff.• Responsible for quality control of all installations, upgrades, and maintenance.

Appointed by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia to serve on the 29-member Criminal Justice Services Board, the approving authority for the department’s regulations. The board also approves most of the grants awarded by the department to localities, government agencies, and nonprofits. The board includes representatives of all aspects of the criminal justice system at the state and local levels of government as well as representatives of the private security industry and the General Assembly. Representatives work with members of the legislature to determine the positive and negative ramifications – in advance – of proposed changes to laws.

• Designed and developed custom network and security equipment and software for wholesalers and for sale directly to end users.• Conducted IT and equipment audits, valuations of assets, and refurbishing, reselling, or recycling of equipment for clients such as Sprint. • Streamlined environmentally friendly disposition of IT assets while minimizing costs and maximizing recouped value, nationwide.

• Co-founded this tech company that provided IT-enabled business processes, application services, and infrastructure solutions for business outcomes.• Led and managed the sales and operations team. Services provided to clients included utility services, software as a service, and cloud-enabled outsourcing. We helped clients develop strong sourcing strategies, select the right technology service providers, structure the best possible contracts, and oversee deals for sustainable win-win relationships with external providers. As a result, clients were able to cut costs, accelerate time to market, and leverage external expertise, assets, and intellectual property. • Bought out original partners and continued to grow the business. In 2011, sold the profitable company to a key staff member.
