(Client: Duke Energy)Lead Mechanical Engineer in charge of supporting final systems turnover, unit start-up/tuning and performance testing. Managed a staff of engineers to support punch list item resolution and final document closeout, while overseeing preparations for and execution of minimum and final performance testing.Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for development of scope and estimate during initial Joint Development Program Agreement, and continued work on standard engineering deliverables under Phase II and III EPC agreement. Primary technical responsibility as mechanical systems engineer for all Air Quality Control Systems (AQCS), including wet and dry scrubber and associated support systems. Supervisory responsibility for six mechanical engineers. Coordinated production of standard mechanical design documents and tracked budget and schedule for this work.Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for complete design of reagent supply systems feeding chemicals to an aqueous polishing process. Worked with various engineering disciplines to produce design deliverables including calculations, drawings and system descriptions. U.S. Army Chemical Demilitarization ProjectNewport Chemical Agent Disposal Facility (NECDF) including R&D and scale testing of alternative technologies for destruction of stockpiled VX nerve agent. (Client: U.S. Department of Defense)Mechanical Engineer responsible for various aspects of the Chemical Demilitarization Project. Reviewed project deliverables including drawings, calculations and specifications for the release of the Acquisition Design Package for the Newport Chemical Agent Disposal Facility (NECDF) conceptual plant design.Managed materials screening test program for corrosion in cooperation with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
