Accountable for delivery of new IT services that enabled transformation of the supply chain to support the £6bn Logistics Commodities and Services Transformation Programme for the Ministry of Defence.• Wholly accountable for resilient IT service provision against demanding business oriented performance metrics.• Energised and led a multi-disciplinary team of in house developers, programme managers, service managers, finance, commercial, sub-contractors, consultants and software vendors. IT strategy, leadership and transformation.

Technology transformation for the largest organisation awarding GCSE and A levels. Financially accountable to CFO and CIO for delivery of programmes through team of 15 programme and project managers.• Revised the strategic plan for IT transformation and produced a £30m medium term financial forecast. Managed diverse programme portfolio to deliver within annual budget. • Proposed outsourcing of stalled software development, conceived procurement approach to define scope for fixed cost and time delivery. Negotiated contract for offshore bespoke software development, gained CEO and Board approval. Initiated programme delivery.• Introduced DSDM(agile) methodology for project management. Led teams to deliver Azure cloud hosted: single sign on, biz talk enterprise service bus, Dynamics AX ERP plus cyber security and IT infrastructure disaster recovery projects.

Provided consultancy to BAE Systems on their approach to a £bn programme including: critical analysis of the ICT enterprise solution for their client and proposing a new solution; defined new opportunities to deliver platform as a service solution..

Led a 50 strong multi-disciplined team delivering the Army’s ICT through a number of outsourced programmes including a £Bn successor capability to the Army's deployable communications and IT system. Additional responsibilities included: setting the strategic direction and delivering solutions for deployed ICT networks; the outsourced delivery of a new configurable IT infrastructure; applications development; network accreditation and cyber security solutions; establishing a technical architecture and design authority.

Financial and programme management of a £1Bn service level agreement that managed and identified continuous improvement in the demand to delivery cycle for all equipment from helicopters, to munitions and armoured vehicles. Strategic lead in delivering a business intelligence solution drawing on four 'big data' sources: finance, programme performance, risk and inventory.

Completed the Advanced Command and Staff Course, including graduating with an MA in Defence Studies from Kings College, London. Authored a defence research paper on “The implications of cyberspace for future UK Security Strategy”.

Operational responsibility for the Army's ICT training organisation with 120 staff and 800 students. Led change by inculcating a new culture and laying the foundations for greater rationalisation; included a process redesign to deliver £500k of in year savings.
