Here I had a chance to work as Team Lead and PHP Developer for the same client and on the same project as I used to work in Cosmic development earlier that year. We were using Docker… Show more Here I had a chance to work as Team Lead and PHP Developer for the same client and on the same project as I used to work in Cosmic development earlier that year. As I mentioned we were working on REST API together with frontend team and they were building 14 single page applications as well as Android and IOS applications.Here I had a chance get a closer look at AWS services and to learn about a lot of them. Somehow my role was also an DevOps role on this project. We were using Docker to deploy our backend application to AWS and for the build steps and tests (CI and CD) we had a huge help from Jenkins integration tool.Techniques we used:- Laravel as base for REST API- Postgres database- Nginx server- Redis for queued jobs- PhpUnit to make sure that our system is working and it's easy to maintain - Docker to containerize our backend code- Jenkins as CI and CD tool- AWS tools - SNS, S3, Lambda, SWS, RDS, Route 53 etc ...Responsibilities:- Backend team daily tasks- Code review and functional analysts ensuring that programs and systems function as intended - Following latest technologies and methods in Information Security- Coordination between backend and frontend (including Android and IOS teams)- Server architecture in collusion with DevOps team- Daily scrum meetings with client and project management team- Migration of old data from MSSQL to Postgres- Migration of photos from Amazon Glacier to Amazon S3 - Strategy to switch from old to new system with zero downtime Show less

I worked as a back-end developer on huge REST API in Laravel with POSTGRES database and NGINX server. We were using Redis with supervisor for queued jobs and a lot of AWS services for storage, image resize, simple notification service etc ... Also I was responsible for frontend for these portals using native javascript, css and html.
