The Area Manager at Crosslinks is a key member of the leadership group. Responsible for leading a team of support workers to provide compassionate care and quality support for people with disability living in Supported Independent Living (SIL).

Actively engaged with people with disabilities and their families on a regular basis, fostering relationships that encouraged participation, engagement, and feedback, leading to a superior experience for people we support.Lead multiple teams, working closely with the Residential Services Managers (RSM) to ensure people with disabilities and their families are provided with high-quality services that reflect best practice. Collaborated with the RSMs in the development, review and evaluation of individual Person-Centred Plans (PCPs) for people with disabilities. Managed supports and coached RSMs, facilitating their development, management skills and growth by:- Encouraging and empowering them to take responsibility to resolve operational issues and achieve agreed outcomes- Fostering a strong customer focused culture that reflects The Nulsen Way- Manage the annual team coaching process for RSMs and their teams via the team coaching tool, monitoring and providing feedback on the achievement of team goals.Worked collaboratively with the Manager Accommodation Services on developing operational plans for Accommodation Services that align with Nulsen's Strategic and Operational Plans, including performance targets; and work with the RSMs to implement these plans and monitor performance. Worked closely with the RSMs and the Manager Accommodation Services on all aspects of day to day service delivery, including individual's needs, feedback from families, budgets and funding, operational performance, restoring, recruitment and contract requirements. Worked closely with Staff Resources team to ensure an appropriate allocation of staff are rostered, as well as managing staff leave and overtime. Worked collaboratively with the Manager Industrial and Employee Relations and RSMs to manage and resolve employee-related matters that may involve union or legal proceedings, grievances and complaints in a timely manner. Managed accident/incident reports relevant to the area.

Supervised the day to day management, providing direct care to residents, supporting activities in their homes and community, administration and office duties and ensuring a superior experience is provided to residents and their families that meet their individual needs, goals and aspirations in a manner that reflects The Nulsen Way; and contributes towards an increase in the overall quality of life.

Collected information and facilitated Person-Centred Planning meetings for people moving into Nulsen services. Created personal profiles and forms to record goals’ outcomes and activities of individuals. Provided staff with training, support, and tools to develop and evaluate individual’s goals and outcomes. Monitored the development of plans and supported individuals and staff to achieve the goals. Collected information and facilitated review meetings to evaluate residents’ quality of life. Produced quarterly and annual reports of individual plans. Liaised with internal departments, family members, individual’s friends, and/or people in the community where appropriate, to enable connections that promote opportunities for inclusion and development of individual’s goals. Worked together with Residential Service Managers and Support Workers in collecting information about each individual, planning the meetings and developing individual’s personal profile. Liaised with therapy staff about the development and evaluation of the Individual Service Plan and Outcomes Report (ISP&OR). Ensured that family members and stakeholders were involved as much as possible with the development and the ongoing evaluation of the plan. Supported projects that improve the quality of life for people with disabilities.
