About Jagroop Gill

My journey as the Co-Founder and CEO of Wevolt began when I bought my first electric vehicle (EV) and found myself juggling multiple apps just to locate the nearest chargers and plan my trips. I was struck by the paradox - moving from Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) to EVs was such an upgrade in terms of driving experience, yet 'refilling the tank' was a significant downgrade. I knew there had to be a better way, and the idea for Wevolt was born.Leveraging my leadership experience and deep understanding of the EV market, I'm now working towards revolutionising the EV charging experience. We're developing the Wevolt platform that bridges the gap between individuals and businesses, enabling them to share and access charging services with ease.My strategic direction for Wevolt is clear: to simplify and enhance EV charging by integrating underutilised, isolated chargers and disparate networks into one user-friendly experience. My leadership style is rooted in a growth mindset, viewing challenges as opportunities for innovation and learning.Under my guidance, Wevolt has achieved significant milestones. We're proud to be among the winners of the 2023 WA Innovation Booster Grant, a testament to the relentless dedication, creativity, and expertise of our team. Our partnership with UWA's REV project, the oldest charging network in Western Australia, and our collaboration with CSIR-IIP (Council Of Scientific And Industrial Research–Indian Institute Of Petroleum) on research proposals, are further examples of our commitment to innovation and progress in the EV charging sector.Our vision is to disrupt the EV charging sector and contribute significantly to the global sustainability movement.
