Developed quantitative anticonvulsant EEG seizure model.- Co-author, NDA Pharmacology section for Nuvigil (armodafinil). Team member for H3-R antagonist (irdabisant) in clinical development. - Expert in evaluation of therapeutic potential of drugs in hippocampal LTP and auditory sensory gating in rats for efficacy in schizophrenia and attention disorders; mechanism of action of analgesic agents using C-fiber spinal reflex; neuroprotection in chemical, lesion-induced, and genetic models of axonopathy. - Expert, EMG & kinematics of rat walking and swimming & effects of cerebellar lesions on motor control.- Expert in pre-clinical SCI models and evaluation of function recovery by behavioral rating scales. Co-designed NYU (MASCIS) spinal cord contusion model. Demonstrated efficacy of 4-AP in restoring function in chronic SCI. Consultant, SCI axonal bridging model.- Co-designed first adaptive clinical feedback-controlled functional electrical stimulation exercise system for paralyzed muscle. Characterized role of nerve fascicle organization in muscle recruitment by electrical stimulation.- Investigated role of synapsin / CamKinase II in synaptic vesicle release. - Member, Mammalian Development Team, Neurolab Space Shuttle program.
