My current client is from the medical supplies industry. The programme is a Finance Transformation exercise to roll-out shared services for all EMEA finance. Moving local finance functions to a shared service centre in Prague. In total this will involve the migration of 18 countries. Key Project Responsibilities:Project Delivery and Implementation Consultant for the P2P (Procure to Pay) Project. This involves the management of the testing programme for an IP (invoice + contract matching) processing module and PM (Purchase Management) processing module. Also, the management of the on-going development of the standard software to meet the bespoke needs of the client. Beswick was previously 4 companies, which have been restructured into one Limited entity due to a recent management buy-in. The company had a turnover in excess of £50 million and operated through 9 sites.•The overall project duration was 54 weeks. The project was delivered under budget and 2 weeks ahead of the agreed deadline.•The first phase was to undertake business reviews to establish not only the transactional events but also the individual ways that the business operates in all locations. •Implemented Products:○ Financial – A/R, A/P, G/L & AFI ○ Order Entry (Jacada Interface)○ Payroll & HR Module ○ Order Capture (Java Interface)○ Inventory Management ○ ○ BACS-IP ○ ○ Process Connect – Workflow Software ○ Sales Analysis ○ Bespoke Customer Pricelist & CSV pricelist system•Managed the end user testing and process acceptance of all aspects of the standard and bespoke software development.•3 different bespoke SAGE systems have been merged into one company-wide INFOR (System 21 Aurora) I-Series based system. The new system is based on JBA system 21, but has a JACADA & JAVA interface, providing users with a GUI style front-end. The Java & Jacada are hosted on the I-series server and a separate window server.•Beswick has 9 locations which can now all pick and transfer stock items from one to the other, which previously required large amounts of human intervention and internal communication. •3 different inventory models have been merged into one, with unified product codes and the introduction of industry standard analysis. Costs and selling prices have also been unified and all customer discounts re-calculated as part of the data conversion exercise.•Modification to the pricing mechanism and reworking of movements costs to fit the paper industry model.

Responsible for the testing and implementation of a new business solution. The European group had chosen to use ASW from IBS, which had been piloted in Belgium for role out across the group. Initial period of training on the ASW product. This included the education on the following applications:○ Order Entry (MAP Bespoke) ○ Purchase Management○ Inventory Control ○ CRM Module○ Financials ○ Configurator○ Manufacturing ○ Alert Management•The project aim was to complete a series of business reviews focussing on the James McNaughton (Ireland) business. These would form the basis for the setting up of the test company and provide GAP analysis for the specification of any required modification.•Business reviews were undertaken to establish the requirements of the software and highlighted any potential changes relevant to the UK business. Working with IBS consultants the Core Team could question the users about their roles and gain a understanding workflow that forms there individual role and the wide departmental functions.•Business reviews not only highlighted any gaps but aided the creation of CRP scripts, essential in testing the software against the needs of the business•The CRP (Conference room pilot) enabled the interaction with users and further opportunity to find any further gaps for development.•Involvement in this PRINCE2 structured project, gave a real understanding of how a implementation project is undertaken. -
