A2 QFI, responsible for Royal Navy Fast Jet training on the Hawk T1 and T2. Training includes Advanced Flying Training and conversion to type; allowing students to master the advanced aspects of fast jet handling, basic fighting and weaponeering. Instruction follows into the tactical environment allowing students to develop these skills for the war fighting arena.The SNO 4 FTS then makes recommendations for future employment of successful students. Opportunities include exchanges to the US flying F-18s, Hawk T1s at RNAS Culdrose, possible exchanges to the Typhoon or Tornado with the RAF and from 2015 the first Lightning II slots will become available.FLY NAVY!
