With over 25 years of experience in the legal field, I am a seasoned and versatile lead counsel with a passion for data privacy and security. I have a proven track record of establishing and leading global data protection programs, policies, and teams across diverse and complex organizations. As the Lead Counsel and Data Protection Officer at Danaher Corporation, I oversee the overall global privacy strategy and compliance for the company, working with the privacy leads for Danaher's four business segments and the "pivots" at Danaher's operating companies. I am motivated by Danaher's mission to improve the quality of life through innovative science and technology, and I strive to create a culture of trust, transparency, and accountability for data protection across the organization. I bring a wealth of experience, knowledge, and perspectives from different sectors, geographies, and roles, and I value collaboration, innovation, and excellence in my work.Before joining Danaher in 2020, I was the Global Lead Counsel for Data Privacy and Security at EY Global, where I was responsible for creating and implementing a unified data protection framework and function worldwide. I established a Global Core Team composed of direct global reports and key country-level leaders, and introduced numerous policies at the global level, including a fully revamped personal data privacy policy and Binding Corporate Rules for data transfers. I also advised on legal matters pertaining to information security, such as incident response, impact assessment, and contract negotiation. During my tenure at EY, I also served as the Lead Counsel for the US Financial Services business unit, and as a Principal in the General Counsel's Office of EY's US member firm, where I handled a broad range of in-house legal practice areas. Some of the skills that I leveraged and developed in these roles include alternative dispute resolution, anti-corruption, litigation, regulatory matters, internal investigations, and ethics.
