MissionaryThe Fellowship Of Catholic University Students May 2018 - Jun 2018Genesee, Co, UsIn my recent studies, I have been drawn towards the life of St. Mother Teresa. I greatly admire her self-sacrificing love for the poor and trust entirely in God's divine will. There are days where I get really caught up in first-world problems when I know that I should not. St. Mother Teresa had a really great mindset tackling life and interacting with others. I hope that my direct experience with third-world life and the poor will put my perspective of life on the right path and strengthen my spirituality for years to come.I fundraised $4,455 in 7 weeks for the $3,350 trip. I served with the Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata from May 16th to June 6th, in Chennai to the 9th, and in Goa to the 12th. Most of my time was spent interacting and playing with 26 physically and/or mentally disabled preteen boys abandoned by their parents. -
