Progressive Assembly Team Member (Work Pilot Program)
Current• Assisted in Progressive Assembly pilot to help research and develop methods to make manufacturing of switchboards 13% faster than manual assembly. • Processing and scanning in and out work orders (utilizing computers, scanning devices, etc.) in adherence to the production schedule or expedited orders.• Reading and interpretation of documents associated with the completion of mechanical assembly assignments (blueprints, bill of materials, one-line diagrams, etc.).• Collection of parts and accessories required in the assembly process, assemble fabricated parts to build unit assemblies (Low Voltage Switchgear, Switchboards, and Power Panels) or subassemblies while using tools and equipment common to the mechanical and/or wiring trade (hand & power tools, wire strippers, pliers, crimpers).• Preparing finished units for shipping (packing, sealing, labeling, etc.).• Secure component parts on frames, subassemblies, or unit assemblies white verifying that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.• Disassemble units to adjust or replace parts and connect cables and basic wires, mark units with identifying information and/or attach identifying tags, and report non-conforming items.• Knowledge of Siemens Switchboards: Mechanical, 3VA Breakers, Wiring.
