Under the advisorship of Michael Sheehy, the Director of Research of the Contemplative Sciences Center, I have contributed to the establishment of the Contemplative Innovation + Research Collaborative (CIRCL) lab, an interdisciplinary unit invested in cross-campus partnership aimed at student well-being. Research projects that my colleagues and I are pursuing consider the effects of natural and virtual environments on contemplative practices, the synergistic outcome of integrating psychedelic compounds into meditative practice, the neurophenomenological correlates of rare somatic and dream-induced states of consciousness, and more.

The Finan Lab is housed within the University of Virginia School of Medicine and is dedicated to the psychological and neurobiological mechanisms of chronic pain, including its comorbidities with mood disorders, sleep, and addiction. We are interested in pharmacological as well as integrative medicine, and my primary involvement is in assisting with study protocols (e.g. setting up and monitoring EEG recordings) for participants engaged in a meditation course and music therapy intended to evoke positive emotional states. I am also contributing to an analysis of data and manuscript write up on non-dual states of awareness following training in Savoring Meditation.

Data manager for Psynautics, an online laboratory that develops projects to track neural data from individuals consuming psychopharamaceuticals (i.e. psychedelics) and completing meditation practices.

I am a volunteer researcher assisting the formation and publication of a systematic review under the lead of Roman Palitsky, the Director of Research Projects for Spiritual Health at Emory University, and Daniel Sullivan, the director of the Cultural-Existential Lab.

Support student-athletes in their academic and professional pursuits through 1-on-1 weekly advising sessions.

I am a volunteer researcher with the CSNL under the supervision of Dr. Carolyn Parkinson, a professor of social psychology at UCLA, and Dr. Joao Gaussi-Moreira, a postdoctoral affiliate of the developmental and cognitive neuroscience areas.

Participated in the Leadership Alliance Early Identification Program this upcoming summer. Specifically, I conducted research in partnership with the Institute for Environment and Society at Brown University.
