This position requires reading detailed medical records, interviewing applicants by telephone about their medical conditions and past work, eliciting medical information from physicians by phone, inputting data into a computer, evaluating the facts in the cases. I make legal claims using the gathered medical evidence to support my policy claims. Work with various government agencies including DHHS, SSA, & DHS. Also spends time working directly in federal and state health policy analysis.

Kraft Family Ymca

Oversaw $5 million in direct program revenue and served as a chief fundraiser for youth department with responsibility over teams raising $97,000. In addition to supervising 4 full time directors I was on branch and association leader by serving on the Leadership Engagement Team, Branch Member Experience Team, and various Association Task Forces/Project Teams. Served as the leader of the Youth Department budgeting process for all youth directors. In addition, I was a Y-USA certified trainer and focused on staff development, grooming the next generation of Y leaders and directors, all the while maintaining a continued focus on program excellence and quality, creativity, flexibility, and optimism.

Cary Family Ymca

The Cary Family YMCA is the largest youth department in the YMCA of the Triangle and in this role I served as the director for multiple before and after school programs, the year round track out program, and off site full day summer camp programs. Supervising over 80 staff and direct responsibility for $3 million dollars in program revenue and $15,000 in fundraising, I helped create a culture of flexibility, creativity, and optimism. My focus was on program quality and growth and creating opportunities for life changing experiences for program participants, families, and staff alike.
