• Built a web crawler to download and scrape 10-K SEC filings and store data in Postgres DB for operations• Used Python to parse XBRL data, extract statistics and accounting information from SEC company filings• Created a pipeline to clean text data and store segregated financial statements to Postgres DB• On the extracted data, calculated readability indices, performed sentiment analysis and text mining with the end goal being to generate a new measure of accounting complexity
