Leading Energy Policy WA in delivery of its broad energy transformation work program and its day-to-day delivery of its statutory functions.

In my role as Program Director, Energy Transformation, I am responsible for day-to-day delivery of the Government's Energy Transformation Strategy work program through the Energy Transformation Implementation Unit of Energy Policy WA. The Unit delivers the work program on behalf of the Energy Transformation Task force.

I led the development and implementation of the DER Roadmap for the South-West Interconnected System, as part of the Government's Energy Transformation Strategy.

Bringing the future forward in Onslow. Leading the delivery of a high-DER energy ecosystem in the small town of Onslow, WA, which will be Australia's most advanced microgrid - involving the deployment of an unprecedented amount of utility and customer distributed renewable energy as well as appliance control, all being centrally orchestrated to demonstrate the high-DER microgrid of the future.

Led the nation in the development of regulatory framework options to enable the use of Stand-alone Power Systems as an alternative to traditional network investment. I was also responsible for the development of Western Power's input to the State Government's Electricity Market Review and related National Electricity Rules reforms, focusing on metering services and network connections and access.

As a Project Manager I specialised in the delivery of Smart Grid and Non-Network Solution projects, including demand management, energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.In this role, I oversaw projects that required diverse skillsets including an understanding of market structures and mechanisms, regulatory frameworks, emerging energy technologies and community engagement and community-based social marketing.

I was the Senior Project Analyst working on the Perth Solar City Program, part of the Australian Government’s $94 million Solar Cities programPerth Solar City is WA's most comprehensive energy efficiency program. It is a unique partnership of industry, government and the community all working together to change the way we produce, use and save energy. The project featured a Smart Grid Foundation Project including the implementation of HAN-enabled Direct Load Control of Residential Air Conditioners, Real Time Information provision and innovative Time of Use tariffs. Perth Solar City is part of the Australian Government’s $94 million Solar Cities program designed to trial new sustainable models for the supply and use of electricity. The Solar Cities program is administered by the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency, in partnership with local and state governments, industry, business and local communities.Perth Solar City is managed locally by Western Power, on behalf of the Australian Government.

My role focused on sustainable building design research and policy development, including design for green building council accreditation. Participated in the development and funding approval of the Perth Solar City business case prior to transfer to Western Power
