    Research involved extensive programming, debugging and problem solving for data analysis. Successfully analyzed the Au+Au collision data took by the STAR experiment at RHIC for the direct reconstruction of open charm meson (D0/D0bar) through its hadronic decay channel. A highly challenging work, given the current precision of the detector. Signal Optimization was done using simulated data. The physics implications of this ongoing work would be a deeper understanding of the Energy loss of heavy quarks, observed at RHIC and charm elliptic flow (v2) measurements.Taught Electromagnetism at the Undergraduate Level in Spring 2011

    Service work for the STAR Experiment at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). Detector simulation and development for the future detector upgrade of STAR - The Heavy Flavor Tracker (HFT). Conducted study of geometrical efficiency of pixel detector design for HFT using GEANT simulation tool. This study showed remarkable agreement with a previous MathCAD simulation. Started a Collaborative effort on developing/debugging the software for measurement of charmed meson in Heavy Ion Collisions at RHIC, which is baseline for the physics explored by HFT.
