About Jaida Perkinson

I’m a passionate American University senior who is dedicated to social and environmental justice. I believe we’re at a crossroads where we can either choose to create a more democratic, ethical, just society, or we can hope to be saved by those with a vested interest in maintaining the status quo. In order to make genuine, equitable social change, we must work diligently and act in solidarity with one another, learning how to effectively communicate and work with people of differing opinions and ideological perspectives toward our collective liberation.My goal is to work at a community level to harness the opportunities for change presented by the environmental crisis which prompt us to take a holistic, intersectional approach to enhancing our collective and individual wellbeing.
