Global Himalayan Expedition (GHE) is the one of the world’s first organisation using the force of tourism coupled with technology to bring solar energy to the remotest communities of India, as recognised by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).GHE has become a successful for-profit social enterprise working in remote inaccessible locations by merging the elements of sustainability, education, adventure tourism, homestays and solar based electrification. India

In 2013, GHE setup the Third Education Base (E-Base) in Leh, Ladakh (India) located at 12000 ft. A 100% solar powered digital education facility, made up of sustainable building material such as rock, clay, paper, husk etc., it hosts a mini library, tablets, internet and various other learning tools. This enables cross-cultural learning among the local Himalayan kids and establishes a mode of interaction for them with the outside world through interactive knowledge sessions. Around 500 students of Leh now use the E-Base as part of their curriculum, focusing on education, based on sustainable solutions around clean energy, waste management, water conservation, bio-diversity and local Ladakhi culture & traditions. The work done by the students at the Education Base has won the Design for Change Awards for two years in a row in 2014 and 2015, competing against 2500 other schools from across India. Students

Chandīgarh Area, India

As Curator of the Global Shapers Chandigarh Hub, I lead a group of 13 bright young Global Shapers working on 6 different community initiatives in Chandigarh. I was also heading the 'Kalpa Vriksha' project that won the Shaping a Better Future grant from Coca Cola for $50,000 in order to accelerate the impact work.

I began my career with P&G as a Line Leader in the Gillette Guard OperationsThis was the for the first time that a new product was being manufactured and shipped out of India. Significant Achievements: • Successful delivery of launch volumes of Gillette Guard in Market(Carts-20MM and Razor-7.3MM) ahead of timelines• Reliability improvement on packaging lines by 7% by building 'Equipment Owner'​ capability. • Work Process Improvement to deliver 30% Productivity• Low Cost automation to deliver 75% productivity improvement. • Equipment Ownership and Manufacturing capability model deployed for line technicians.• Led Internal Controls initiative at site

Part of a 40 member team that won 5 national awards and was the first Indian entry to win theInternational SAE Perseverance Award1. Secured INR 3 million in sponsorship by associations with global automotive and finance companies for two global race car manufacturing competitions2. Organized 2 launches of the team vehicles, generated nationwide media coverage in 12 news channels and 23 leading dailies3. Prepared all project cost reports.
