Passionate about leading multifaceted teams to accomplish organizational objectives, I have demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, project management, budgeting, operations and logistics. A seasoned Indian Army Infantry Officer, over my entire career span of close to three decades, I led strategic transformations, scaled up operational agility, mitigated risks, and ensured regulatory compliance of large-scale, mission-critical projects worth multi-crore INR. Focused on improving security landscape of sensitive and vulnerable geographies, I have demonstrated expertise in risk analysis, logistics & operations management, program management, team engagement, and peace-keeping initiatives.A double postgraduate in defence and strategic studies, I believe in continually adding value to my professional skills and am therefore pursuing a Ph.D. in the Arthashastra – an Ancient Indian Sanskrit treatise on statecraft, political science, economic policy and military strategy.I recently authored a well-received book on India-Myanmar relations. As a Research Fellow, I leveraged international, diplomatic engagements with delegations from New Zealand, China, Turkey, UK, USA and Indo-Pacific countries. I also had the honour of receiving commendations for professional excellence from the Army Commander on four occasions.Recognized as a suave negotiator, I capitalised on multilingual communication skills and a macro perspective to work closely with defence contingents from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal as part of a UN mission in Congo. I inducted a team of 1K+ members and coordinated with NGOs and international government officials to negotiate the release of 9 captured Nepalese soldiers. I also have to my credit, ensuring national security in a 24/7 environment during various national crises. I remain cognisant of emerging methodologies and apply hands-on resolutions to diversified issues. Always inspiring teams to deliver outstanding results, I am not just satisfied with efforts, but believe in delivering end-result. My result oriented outlook extends well beyond the professional. I am passionate about playing the saxophone and percussion instruments, I also enjoy adventure sports, outdoors life, biking, cycling and Amateur (Ham) Radio - VU2YYE.
