Roles/Responsibilities:- Handling a portfolio of overall spend base of ~1600 Cr (annually) in Outbound Logistics area- Responsible for dispatch of over 11 million tons of finished goods annually from Jamshedpur plant to locations across India at minimal cost- Coordination between 11 mills at Jamshedpur and 26 Stockyards across India to keep Inventory levels at mills under control without incurring any sales loss- Optimization of usage of Special Freight Train Operations (SFTO) rakes by analyzing historic data to maximize profits, achieving an increase of 3X volume in last FY- Syndication with Production Planning team and Marketing & Sales for coil optimization across destinations, to minimize losses in the form of idle freight- Successfully handled 2X ramp-up of Export volumes in FY21, and achieved 70% decrease in idle freight over FY20 volumes- Development of a Global Planner in collaboration with ITS team which will enable automated dispatch planning, ensuring 100% optimization with available stock- Commencement of rake loading at PSTA siding for finished goods in Sep'21, for benefit in long lead destinations- Development of mix loading between Tata Steel and JCAPCPL for higher savings in select destinations- Advocacy with Indian Railways for tariff concessions, long lead benefits, 2 point rakes etcAchievements:- Awarded the Rising Icon and Dream Team awards (under Steel Icons category) for overall contributions to OBL area- Achieved lowest ever idle freight payout in FY20-21, with a reduction of 41% over previous FY- Achieved lowest ever suboptimal cost payout in FY20-21, with a reduction of 21% over previous FY- Achieved the lowest ever idle freight in the history of TSJ, in the month of Jun'21, beating the previous bests set in months of Apr'21 and May'21- Best ever scrap sheet loading via Rail in FY21- Best ever mix loading volumes (Rail dispatch) in July'20- First ever barge movement of steel via Haldia (Inland Waterways route) in Feb'22
