My national practice focuses on complex, high stakes business and commercial litigation, trade secrets law, and protecting and defending clients' business practices in the area of consumer protection law. I have significant experience defending class actions across the country in a wide range of industries, including in the retail, food and beverage, multifamily housing, healthcare, manufacturing and financial industry sectors. I have handled class action claims brought under California’s unfair competition and false advertising laws, including claims for product mislabeling and false pricing; and class claims for violation of the Consumer Legal Remedies Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Song-Beverly Credit Card Act and the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, among other state and federal statutes. I have represented clients by obtaining early dismissal of cases, defeating class certification, or winning at trial. I also have substantial experience with multi-district litigation (MDL).I frequently lecture on case management topics, civil procedure, e-discovery, class action litigation, and California's consumer protection laws.
