Growing up in a middle class family in India, not to perpetuate stereotypes, but chances are that a career in engineering or medicine featured right at the top of your career goals. My goals were limited too, not just because of lack of exposure and limited means, but also because I had a keen interest in working in the Tech industry.Just when it seemed like I had it all figured out, I started having second thoughts on what I need to be doing in the longer run. This introspection was partly triggered by my frequent visits to the Naxal infested districts of Dantewada and Bastar, and the 4 year college life experience I had in the Kashmir Valley.Had it not been for these places, I would have lost the forest for trees.Hence leaving behind an option to pursue a lucrative career using my technical acumen, I took on a journey to crack the UPSC CSE and enter the governance delivery architecture of our Nation, and have been on the path ever since.I may need you guys in the future.
