CurrentI have taught a variety of courses at both undergraduate and master levels. These include Classical Mechanics, Quantum Mechanics, Advanced Mathematics, Introductory and Advanced Solid State Physics, Nanotechnology, Nanoelectronics, Advanced Statistical Mechanics Non-relativistic Quantum Field Theory and Superconductivity.I have promoted and coordinated a joint Graduate Program with UniversidadAutonoma de Madrid. i have also organized an international school on quantum transport, that was held at Lake Balaton in Hungary in 2011.I have been Principal Investigator of six three-year long Research Projects funded by the Spanish Research Agency. I am or have been a member of five European Marie Curie networks. I am currently coordinating an extension of one of these, that includes research groups from the UK, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Hungary,Slovenia and Spain.I am a referee of a large number of high-impact research journals. I have participated in evaluation and assessment panels at the European Commission, the European Science Foundation and the british EPSRC. I have also been an evaluator of projects for the british, french, dutch and spanish research agencies.Altogether, I have authored 70 research articles that have been published in ISI-web listed journals. Several of these papers are counted amongst the most highly-cited articles from Universidad de Oviedo. I hold one Patent and two Intelñectual Property Rights-subjectedieces of scientific software, that are or have been quite popular among research groups across the world.
